VETERAN ADVOCATES OF EL PASO
Watch for our new web site upgrade, I know you will like it.

We had a good anniversary party on the 16th and we were well received. It is great when people come out at tell you "you have made a difference" or "nobody ever explained it that way" or" thanks for listening". The businesses that contributed prizes are; A Flag flown over the Nations Capitol, courtesy of our Congressman, Sylvestre Reyes, a lighted flag from DAV 187, Sandwiches from Brown Bag Deli, Golden Corral, Hawah, Super Burro, Burrito House, The Texas Cafe, and a car wash from Cascade.

We would like to thank the following for their support, American Legion Post 58, DAV Chapter 187, and all veterans who came in for service, The County Service Officer, The 16th District, American Legion, and all of the rest of you who are too numerous to mention. We want to thank Congressman Reyes and his staff for their assistance this past year. We hope to continue to  serve veterans through American Legion Post 407, Service Officer Program.

This is a little bit of help we can give you right now, and  would be sites that we use sometimes to help us do our jobs. The best news site about V.A.would be www.vawatchdog.org, this site will keep you informed and up to date about V.A.doings. If you are interested in the law, you should try  www.valaw.org , this site you can see and download 38CFR and the M-21 manual and various court decisions and directives etc. Another site would be www.military.com , this is good for active duty also. Of cource the usual  V.A. www.va.gov ,                          DAV www.dav.org , American Legion    www.legion.org , for national and  www.txlegion.org  for the Texas Department of American Legion. One good site that you can also do a lot with is www.hadit.com.
